Innovative Woman Invents Car So Wheelchair Users Can Just Drive Away

A woman who is in a wheelchair wanted to invent something that would allow her and other to be more independent. She designed and manufactured an electric car that provides easy access to a car, where you can just get in and drive away without getting out of the chair.

Stacy Zoern quit her job after coming up with the idea. Now she just focuses on building her new company Kenguru. All that is need is a push of a button. The back of the Kenguru car opens up, and a ramp automatically lowers for entry. Then, just drive the tiny vehicle away while seated in your wheelchair. The car is environmentally friendly and tops out at a speed of 35 mph. The car is steered by a bike-like handlebar and has room for just the driver. The company has raised millions of dollars from investors projections show the cars will sell for around $25,000.
